The Beckwith Company

The Beckwith Company (also The Beckwith Press, Inc.) was a publishing entity in 1920, based in New York City. It is remembered for publishing a second edition of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, more specifically a second translation from the Russian language into the English language.
The Beckwith edition of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion
Harris A. Houghton head of the New York office of Army Intelligence personally financed the translation and publication of this edition of The Protocols. The actual translation from Russian into English was by his personal assistant Miss de Bogory and former Russian General G. J. Sosnowsky.
Harris A. Houghton used the pseudonym "Peter Beckwith" when he started "The Beckwith Company" to get his new translation of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion published. Other support and/or financing for this publication is believed to have come from the American Defense Society.
The Beckwith Company was located at 299 Madison Avenue, New York City.
