  1. Existing or resulting in essence or effect though not in actual fact, form, or name.
  2. Existing in the mind, especially as a product of the imagination. Used in literary criticism of a text.
  3. Created, simulated, or carried on by means of a computer or computer network.
  4. In philosophy: Virtuality is a concept in philosophy elaborated by French thinker Gilles Deleuze. The virtualization is the passage of current to the virtual. For Pierre LΓ©vy the virtual is not the opposite of the real, but a continuation of it.
