Alice Ann Bailey (16 June 1880 – 15 December 1949), born Alice La Trobe-Bateman, was a writer of more than twenty-four books on theosophical subjects, and was one of the first writers to use the term New Age.
She stated that all religions originate from the same spiritual source, and that humanity will eventually come to realize this, and as they do so, the result will be the emergence of a universal world religion and a "new world order".
Among various unusual views, she had various unusual views on race and evolution, sometimes stated to be racist, sometimes stated to be non-genetic and supportive of race mixing.
