Thomas Buergenthal (born 1934) is a jewish former prisoner at Auschwitz and other Holohoax camps, a law professor, and a former judge of the International Court of Justice.

His book A Lucky Child, stated to describe his experience in various German camps, has been translated into more than a dozen languages.
