Below is a timeline of significant events in the life of British Fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley.
1896-1932: Early Life and Service in WWI
1914
- January - Mosley entered the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.
1920
- May 11 - He married Lady Cynthia Curzon.
1932-1945: British Union of Fascists and Internment
1932
- October 1 - British Union of Fascists was launched.
1933
- May 16 - His wife Cynthia died of peritonitis.
1936
- October 6 - Mosley married Diana Mitford in secret in Germany with Adolf Hitler as one of their guests.
1939
- July - BUF hosted one of the largest indoor political rallies in the world with Mosley speaking at a peace rally attended by over 30,000 people at Earls Court in London.
1940
- May 23 - Mosley is arrested by police under Defence Regulation 18B of the Emergency Powers Act and begins his internment.
1943
- November 20 - After more than three years' imprisonment, Mosley and his wife Diana were both released, but were placed under house arrest until the end of the war.
1945-1980: Post-WWII
1948
- Union Movement is founded.
1962
- September 26 - Mosley travels to New York State University at Buffalo and speaks before a student audience of 1500 people.[1]
1964
- January - Mosley Holds Press Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.[2]
1968
- His autobiography My Life comes out.
