The Paul Reveres was a fascist organization founded by Colonel Edwin Marshall Hadley and Elizabeth Dilling on November 21, 1932[1] to promote Americanism and to fight Communism.[2] It was headquarter at 120 South La Salle Street in Chicago and had chapters in several other cities. The organization attempted to attract the wealthy and the well-bred. Their membership consisted largely of highly educated professionals. There were no dues and each chapter financed its operations thru donations.
Elizabeth Dilling was the National Secretary and driving force behind the organization[3] until her resignation in 1935. By 1937 the organization disappeared due to apathy.[4] [5]
In 1934 they issued a booklet called The Plan in Action.
