William Bernard Wernecke also Bill Wernecke (born January 21, 1907)[1] was a leader of the German American Bund in Chicago. Wernecke acted as a liaison between the Bund and Father Charles Coughlin attending several of his conferences.[2]
After the war Wernecke became the head and founder of the Fascist Conservative Party.
Wernecke had a farm in Illinois[3] and was employed as a realtor.[4]
William Wernecke founded and headed the American Humane Society, Inc., 6250 North Wayne Avenue in Chicago.[5] [6]
His estranged wife was Ruth Wernecke.[7]
