LGBT or gay pride parades (also described as marches, festivals, or events) are stated to be celebrating alleged LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) "culture and prid"ee.

History

Many occur annually and many take place around June to commemorate the Stonewall riots in the United States. These riots, which started on 28 June 1969, included events such as the attempted lynching of/assault on a group of police officers who had raided an LGBT bar, rioting, arson, looting, and a mob threatening to burn down the office of a newspaper that had been somewhat critical of the riots.[1][2]

The parades often referred to as "Pride parades" (leaving out "LGBT" or "Gay"), which gives the misleading impression that there are no other groups that have events expressing pride of their own group.

LGBT pride is very politically correct, while White pride is very politically incorrect, one of many examples of politically correct double standards. A White pride parade would have a high risk of being violently attacked by antifa.

Another double standard is regarding the term straight pride, often considered to be politically incorrect.

Many homosexual Muslims dislike LGBT pride parades, arguing that they are liberal, secular, and "Islamophobic", as well as there being, for example, lots of alcohol available.[3] This despite that some homosexual former Muslims have criticized a pro-Islamic double standard: ""In my view Islam, like all religions, is homophobic. Why is it not possible to say this without fear of reprisal or accusations of Islamophobia?" She said: "Pride is full of 'God is gay' and 'Jesus had two fathers' placards as well as those mocking the church and priests and pope, yet hold a sign saying 'Allah is gay' - as we did - and the police converge to attempt to remove them for causing offence.""[4] See also Islamo-leftism

The parades do not just express pride, but also serve as political propaganda events, such as for homosexual marriage and adoption rights.

The parades are often deliberately provoking and may break indecent exposure laws and similar laws. In part, this may have the goal of desensitizing the mainstream to nontraditional sexuality.

Many of the events are to some degree paid for by the tax-payers.

Russia has banned LGBT pride parades, as partly being propaganda directed at minors.

The North American Man/Boy Love Association earlier marched in many LGBT pride parades, with the stated goal of removing the barriers to man-boy sex.
